Blackened Heart

She smiles as she then starts to walk to the lake and look out at it as the moonlight reflects on the water to the dress. "I can't believe this...such a beautiful night...but yet this day was as ugly as sin itself...the irony huh?"

"Yes... such dark times we live in... I know... this might be opening up an old wound, but... I am truly very sorry for your family... I did not see them in time to save them." He did not look at her as he said it.

She looks at him as she shakes her head then looks back at the water as the light shimmers on her eyes. "No, tis not your fault, there was nothing anyone could do, I wish that I could have saved all of them...if I knew sooner...maybe...just maybe..I could have healed those bones, and they might have lived..." She shakes her head. "Who am I kidding...I probably couldn't...I barely saved this boy that was recently staying with me for a while. I thought I was causing him more harm then good when I healed him. I'm glad...That he is still alive though...he's gone...but I hope...he finds bliss within himself..."

Marucus blinked. "A boy? No mention has been made of this to me. Who was this boy?"

She looks at him. " He looked around 15 and he had silver hair, his name was Lasche, he was a boy that wasn't scared to say what was on his mind...I enjoyed his company...but then...he left...and it was on this day none the less."

He looked at the lake. "A miravae... poor child... to be so young, and to be on your own... terrible... what cause him to leave your company?"

"Well...it's a bit hard to explain, because I do not fully understand it myself, nut he said that someone was counting on him...or maybe it was a place, I have a horrid memory of things."

"What was it, do you remember the name?"

"I think it was...umm....Krestas I think he said..." She looks at him, why do you ask?

Marucus shook his head. "No reason, in particular. Just trying to get a grasp on the situation."

"Ah, I see...Well thats all the imformation I pretty much have." She chuckles, "I'm sorry i'm not so useful in things like telling people things..."

He smiles. "It is not of any concern of mine, I'm glad you trust me enough with this information."

She smiles at him and nods. "I'm glad that your willing to listen." She looks into his eyes.

He stared back into her's. His own, peacful, bright green, almost luminescently so. He did not move his gaze, but only stared back into her eyes, immobalized. It was if such angelic beauty could make him incapable of movement, yet send his heart racing.

She had looked into his eyes more as she tilted her head as she has seen that he as not moved. She lightly calls his name. "Lord Marucus?...Lord Marucus...? Are you alright?"

He blinked, snapping out of it. "Y-Yes, I apologize, I was just... well... um... thinking, yes, thats right, thinking." He laghed nervously, scratching the back of his head.

She looked at him more then she smiles as she chuckles lightly. "I see, well we should get back and get some rest." She starts to walk back to the camp site as he watches her walk back.-

He nods, walking after her. "Perhaps you should try to lay down and rest, my lady."

She smiles as she looks at him in the eyes again. "Hehe, only if you do."

He stares into her's again, for several long moments. "Ah... yes, yes, of course." He smiled.

She smiled once more then continued to walk back as they made it back. She had the rested on the ground putting a blanket over her as she looked at him once last time before they closed. "Goodnight Mi`Lord...." She starts to close her eyes.

He moves back to his own place. "Goodnight, m'lady." He layed down, looking at her as he fell asleep. What was this feeling he got when he laid eyes on her?

The next morning they have all awaken as Melina was cooking them all breakfast like she would if they were all at the house. Lady Ivy looks at the food as she winces her lip a bit. "I hope that my food does not touch, I don't like it when my eggs touch my bacon, nor my any of my food I want them sunny side up, not strammbled because it looks like vomit, oh and also I was herbal tea, non-sweetened of course also-"

Melina halted her before she finished. "Lady Ivy, I cannot do the things I did for you like I did, back at the Inn, I can only cook what I can find."

Lady Ivy scoffs. " You mean, without even knowing where it's been, then I won't eat."

Melina rolls her eyes as she continues to cook. "Fine then, starve I only have few eggs and sasuage links, that should be good enough right? and besides I took the teapot, and there is a lake, find you done herb leafs and boil up some yourself. "

Ivy's eyes widen. "Myself?! How dare you speak to me in such matter! Why should I do it myself if your the one thats cooking!"

Melina continues to looks at what shes doing as she cooks. "With all do respect Mi`lady, you really have to learn how to fend for yourself in these conditions, and this is a good chance to do so."

Ivy's eye twitched. "No! I'm not the one who has been a serving wench all my life have I?"

Melina's eye twitches in more annoyance. "Mi`lady, I really wish you would STOP calling me that, everyone that works has a name other then what you label them as...Melina...Melina Garcia is my name, and I was appreciate it if you call me by THAT name instead of "serving wench" "

Ivy sighs then she pouts. "But how am I going to find leafs here!"

Melina looks around as they are surrounded by a lake and trees and plants all over. "Lady Ivy, you cannot be serious...we are in a forest, theres nothing but herbs around here."

Ivy sighs. "But I don't know which ones to pick, you do it."

Melina sighs in fustration. "Agh! Seriously, you haven't worked an honest day of your life have you!?"

Ivy jumps. "How dare you yell at me, I should have you punished for that!

Melina looks up at her then stands up getting the food off the fire. "At least then I wouldn't have to listen to your complaining!" She then walks to the river as she had to clear her head rubbing her temples.

Ivy looked at her angered. "W-Who told you to leave me presents, come back here!"

Zander put a hand on her shoulder. "Come now, remember the talk we had? Best not to anger the one cooking, lest they put something nasty in your portion. Wouldn't want you to get poinsoned, would we?"

Marucus still slept, sprawled out over the ground, snoring slightly.

She sighs as she looks down then she walks back to the camp fire. "Hmph, fine! But she has some nerve leaving like that!"
